Apple Crisp Recipe:

Apple Ingredients

• 6 peeled and chopped apples (golden delicious is popular, so is granny smith)
• 2 tbsp granulated white sugar
• 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Topping Ingredients

• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 3/4 cup old fashioned oats
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, diced into small cubes
• pinch of salt
  
  
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit). Butter an 8×8 baking dish.
  
  
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the apples ingredients listed above.  Stir to combine, then transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  
  
  3. In another bowl, add the topping ingredients. Use two forks (or just your hands) to cut the butter and combine it into the mixture until it forms pea-sized crumbs.
  
  
  4. Spread the topping over the apples in the baking dish, and gently pat the top to even it out. Bake 40-50 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly. Best served warm!
